In 2018 I landed in Amsterdam to start a Europe Tour. The venue could not find a hotel for me, so I asked Gilbert, who invited me to stay in his guest room. I felt at home when I saw what was on Gilbert's table/mind (picture). the book 'Shantaram', double reed flute photo, Saravah... (as a friend of Pierre Barouh, I had visited Saravah where I met Jack Higelin in the 70s). Gilbert and I exchanged many ideas, and I invited him to record at my place in Australia. He did, and here is the result! I am thrilled that the words issued from my Head Noise are highlighted by the arrangements co created with Gilbert - also the sheer genius of I:Cube to polish our gems has a lot to do with that!

En 2018 j'ai atterri a Amsterdam pour une tournée Européenne... pas d'hotel de libre donc j'ai appelé Gilbert qui m'a gentiment invité dans sa chambre d'ami. Sur sa table, j'ai vu que Gilbert s'intéressait aux memes sources que moi: Le livre Shantaram, une flute double, Saravah... (etant ami de Pierre barouh j'avais visite les studios ou je rencontrais Jack Higelin durant les annees 70s). J'ai invite Gilbert Cohen a venir enregistrer chez moi en Australie... voici le resultat! Je suis ravi que les mots sortis de mes Bruits de Tete soient ainsi mis en valeur par les arrangements co-crees avec Gilbert - et aussi le genie de I:Cube a polir nos gemmes y est pour quelque chose!

A sublime collection of ambient and emotive electronica. There is a real sense of space and grandeur here - some of the songs feel distinctly Floydian in inspiration (particularly by Shine on You Crazy Diamond), but the synth waves and pulses develop in very differently. And the songs are clever, too; they and and flow; rather than simply meander. These are compositions. Voyages, really. Fans of music that engages the heart, mind and soul equally should investigate immediately. Michael Mueller
